Throughout last week Sanj and I viewed a location which we thought could be a potential place to shoot our video. After deep analysis we decided that it is a possibility, however due to the amount of difficulty it could create us when filming we have decided to continue looking for 'better' locations to see if there is anything else affordable and right. Last week we also created a post about the narrative our video will tell the audience. Our reasoning behind this was to make it more aware to our audience what we were trying to produce with regards to the story behind the lyrics. Many people commented on our 25 word pitch that they found it in great difficulty to understand what we wanted to actually produce, and therefore we did something something about that to change.
This weeks targets are to find our dancers for the video so that we can get a good feel about if they will be suitable for our idea, and if they are flexible with time to help us out. After meeting we would then set up sessions for choreographing with them so we can start to shape the dance towards our narrative. This will lead to Sanj and I becoming more confident with the work we are creating, and it will also allow us to see through the test shots that we create if our idea will work, and if we need to adjust our narrative.
Throughout this week we would also like to start our storyboard. We feel in order for our video to be successful our storyboard is a crucial part to planning, and a resource which will make the production stage a lot easier and more efficient for us. We will take a great deal of time ensuring that this is up to the required standard for us to use as a useful resource. As well as our storyboard, we will begin planning the representations we wish for our music video to include, to ensure that we really understand ourselves what we will make, and the amount of time we will need to spend on ensuring that we know exactly who, what, where, when and how we will create our video.
A final target of this week will include creating a post of an analysis of our song lyrics. This we believe will be important to ensure that when we meet our dancers we can present with them the emotion we require from them throughout their performance, as well as Katie's (our actor who plays Billie-White). We also believe that this will help us a lot more into understanding the full underlying meaning of the song, because we feel this is a really important aspect.
In my opinion I believe Sanj and I work really well as a team, our ideas are created from both of our opinions, and our organisation levels have been to a good level to ensure we are keeping up to date with what we wish to produce each week. Ensuring that we continue this, I believe Sanj and I will create a high standard music video.

Weekly Target Posts
Week: 1st - 7th September 2014.
In order to progress further into the course, the majority of the workloads set before the holidays - must be completed. This will give both members within the course a clear idea of the type of work ability that each peer can produce. This will mean that there will also be a wide range of knowledge before the course has began, allowing all members of the coursework to progress and achieve the best possible grade that they work for.
With the list of tasks provided both myself and Natalie, will ensure that the workload is divided to ensure that the work is completed to the highest possible standard. Whether this will be a equal split of work, this is still yet to be discussed, although a decision will be based on the workload from other A2 subjects and the amount of work and time left before the required deadline.
Specifically, we will need to explore a wide range of music videos, in order to find a chosen style and genre that we will be attempting to recreate. During the course of this week, we will explore specific conventions of the particular genre to make sure that the work we would be producing would be visually pleasing and realistic for the audience and viewers that are watching.
Once decided on a particular video style, we will need to organise the chosen song and the type of people that we would want to be included in the video. This is relatively simple, as once a genre has been chosen it will be a case of finding a artist that suits the style of music that we are re-creating. This particular task can be done 'on the go' and therefore means that all members involved would not be spending time on tasks that require more dedication and concentration. However, we are aware that discussions will be in place once we feel that we have required a specific style of music and band members that we feel are appropriate.
In addition, when deciding the format of the music video, we will need to discuss how to attract our chosen target market, this will often come later within the course - where were coursework members will be able to follow conventions that they have found in order to attract the chosen audience. This includes, conducting research and survey and other micro research methods to particular people that would be able to give us a clear and realistic answer to the vision that we are creating.
