Preliminary Task Evaluation
Throughout the process of our prelim music video many factors occurred which made it challenging, and overcoming obstacles at times was extremely difficult. Learning how to use the camera, and angles which worked best for each type of shot of the video were a few main useful things about the prelim. This is because the most important skills for the final video are these developed to ensure that we produce a professional finished product. Due to all of our class being at different stages during pre-production it made it extremely difficult to organise everyone, as theoretically a class of 22 were working together until post-production. This made it difficult to allow all members of the class to gain experience in all areas of production. A positive we faced was due to us being more organsied than other classes it enabled us to finish pre-production first. This then led to us being able to have access to both a classroom and the drama studio, to have a go at filming in both. The facilities such as light and sound systems, stages and cameras allowed us to capture some good footage. I believe being able to set this up it gave us valuable information which will continue to help throughout the process of the course. We overcame the complication of having a large group and both Sanj and I managed to gain experience from using the camera and the Mac software. This allows us now to understand where we can pick up improvement points to ensure that our video is reflects the standard of our ability.
