Reflection Post - NC
- I have learnt so far that the narrative of the video is a key aspect in order for the video to be successful. Every idea needs justifying, and the more research carried out with regards to the narrative is better in order to make it work. For example, when viewing the video 'Ellie Goulding - Burn' the narrative of a party on a runway was extremely clear from the start. This is something we would like to replicate, to ensure the message of our video is put across extremely clear. This would mainly be done via my research and planning, when looking at videos that correspond to the chosen genre, I would be able go gain a clearer understanding of the plans needed to ensure that the idea looks as realistic as possible.
- I also believe that a more in depth post about our target audience is something we should consider in order to really define the niche market we are looking at aiming our video towards. This would mean, that research would be conducted in order to attract our desired audience. Using websites such as UKTribes I would be able to have a better understanding about what the interests/ hobbies of the market are, and would therefore be able to add it to the work I am producing.
- With in the next week, we need to refine the words used in our 25 word pitch, to ensure the video we want to create is clear to the audience so they get a realistic representation of the idea we have. This must be approved by both teachers and peers, as the pitch gives the audience a realistic
- idea of the type of video that I am planning to create. Using a refinded choice of vocabulary will mean that the type of video will be clear to the audience, who would be fimialr with the format that I am creating, with the support of imagery - a clear picutre would be created.
- Also want to go and visit the location we are thinking of hiring for the music video, and seeing whether it will realistically work and not make it more difficult. This will then determine whether we have to change our idea, or whether we can find elsewhere to hire, in order to pull off the same effect.
